Solutions for the increasingly complex problems of the world require greater creativity than ever before. Fortunately, creativity is more than just a talent wielded only by the few. It is an aptitude that may be developed in anyone. By studying and practicing seven skills, people can strengthen their creative abilities. These skills include enhancing perception, exploring patterns, learning to abstract, embodied learning, modeling, playing and synthesizing. By developing these skills in both our educators and in our students, we can better prepare for the challenges that face us now and in the future.
